Loxstedt production site

Founded in 1898, Neynaber Chemie has been based in Loxstedt since 1902. The Henkel Group took over the company in 1968 and the Neynaber production site is today a member of Cognis Oleochemicals GmbH.

At the production site Loxstedt Cognis employs about 55 people in production and product development. The product range comprises 100 different items, mainly lubricants and plasticizers for the plastics industry. The site is a designated industrial zone and covers 118,000 square meters, of which some 82,000 are built over.

The majority of our products are based on renewable raw materials derived from animal and vegetable oils and fats. Of these, the plastics additives are especially important. Lubricants made from natural-sourced raw materials and marketed under the Loxiol brand have been well-known around the world for many years. These are marketed worldwide under the Stabiol and Stabilox brands.

Production facilities
The production plants include two different types of technology:

  • An esterification plant producing esters as lubricants for plastics or plasticizers and
  • a spray crystallization plant in which esters or products with high melting points can be processed into flowable powders.
The production facilities also include various warehouses and tank farms for raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, and the necessary energy infrastructure to power the production plants. The site obtained its DIN ISO 9001 certification in 1991 and also in the context of a matrix certification in 2002 the DIN ISO 14001.
