Social responsibility: The corporate citizen Cognis

There are the approximately 8,000 employees worldwide for whom Cognis provides a safe and attractive job. And then there is the wider social environment to which we, as a successful company, are committed – the hub within a stable network adapted to the various cultural mores and individual requirements that prevail locally.

With its Code of Conduct, Cognis has committed itself to upholding the highest ethical standards in all its business practices and to strict compliance with all applicable statutory requirements. This Code is incumbent on the employees at all Cognis sites around the world and on everyone who represents Cognis in some capacity or other.

Cognis is also keen to meet its social responsibilities beyond the factory gates. We therefore support a number of self-help projects and community initiatives at our sites around the world. With this policy of project-specific involvement, adapted to the prevailing circumstances of each case, we are strengthening the many local social networks that exist in and around our centers of activity.
